Run Ta Ek is an eco village built in early 2000’s as a home for families who volunteered to move out of the land surrounding Angkor Wat. Many families chose to relocate to Run Ta Ek in the hope of starting afresh with new infrastructure provided by the government.
Since 2022, there has been a greater influx of Cambodians moving to Run Ta Ek and this presents an opportunity to establish relationships with people finding theirs roots in the village.
Run Ta Ek Church has approximately 60 members who gather regularly for worship services, accounting for both new members who joined and others who have relocated to the town area.

Worship services at Run Ta Ek Church are typically led by Pastor Lydia, though Dook occasionally steps in to assist when she is unavailable to deliver a sermon.

Run Ta Ek is involved in various ministries including the Faithful Discipleship (FDG) and Youth Discipleship groups (YDG). In FDG, there are 5 regular attendees. Pastor Lydia conducted the class throughout last year using the Abundant Life book. For this year, the FDG classes will be on the Abundant Light book.
For the YDG, there are about 6 students. In 2026, Run Ta Ek collaborated with Skun Church to conduct a 3-months program called, “Combining Classes”. The youths from both churches came together for Bible and music classes to hone their various skillsets to serve the church better.
